Getting Your Skin Spring Ready

Spring is such a wonderful season because it brings the hope of new beginnings. Flowers bloom, the air has more moisture, and we rethink everything in our lives that needs to be changed for the better. We leave behind the cold and dry winter months and look towards a new season with a renewed sense of being.  There is no time than now to rethink how to revitalize dull winter skin back to radiant life. While your skincare regimen for the winter months was spent keeping your skin hydrated, it’s time to swap out those heavy winter products for lighter products that will revive and rejuvenate your skin.

 How can you help your skin emerge from this spring looking more radiant than ever? Below are a few suggestions to give your skin a healthy glow with a dose of antioxidants and lightweight hydration. 

Exfoliate:

Supplement your facial skincare routine with a good exfoliant. You can exfoliate your skin 1 to 3 times per week depending on the sensitivity of your skin. It is important to regularly remove dead skin cells from the surface layer of your skin to help prevent a dull and rough texture. Exfoliating also prevents unwanted breakouts by keeping your pores clear. You can exfoliate your skin three ways: mechanically, with an enzyme-based or acid-based exfoliant.

1.    Mechanical exfoliation is achieved by using a scrub or brush. This method is not recommended for sensitive skin.

2.    Enzyme exfoliation uses fruit enzymes such as papaya and pineapple. Enzyme exfoliation is great for sensitive, dry and dehydrated skin. This type of masque gently exfoliates dead skin cells and adds essential antioxidants and minerals to improve skin health.

 Moisturize:
